As a young boy, you came upon the base of an immense tower, uncovered by another violent earthquake. Deep below sleeps an ancient power. Since that day, you have been drawn inexorably to this place. Lead a party of your strongest champions and discover the history of the land and the tower itself as they explore the depths. Follow the main storyline, and complete many secondary quests and puzzles. The place is rich with lore if you wish to uncover it. The tower is unthinkably huge, and it has a consciousness. She is fair but you do not know her true agenda, and she is watching you…
Defeat all that stands in your way as you descend the massive tower. Battles take place in real-time with a slow-motion option. You will need tactical acumen and careful use of your team members’ skills and strengths to prevail. A diverse range of enemies spawn in different locations. No two encounters are ever the same.
Choose from seven classes, each with its own roles and unique skills. Influence the battlefield to your advantage and control the flow of combat. Create walls and traps. Summon various allies. Stun, slow, and daze your enemies. Inflict burning, poison, and bleeding. Shatter their armor or elemental resistance. Boost your champions with a wide range of buffs.
Protect your fragile damage dealers with your strong warriors. Reposition your heroes across the battlefield in response to new threats. Mana is a finite resource and it regenerates slowly. You will always have dozens of options during combat, but you cannot execute them all. So choose wisely.
Establish your city at the base of the Tower. As you discover forgotten knowledge, you can upgrade buildings and train your champions in ancient techniques, provided you have the necessary resources. The ToT RPG system is refreshingly novel, with each attribute equally important for all classes, whether front-line melee tanks, fragile but deadly range characters, or physical-damage dealers. Craft and enchant a massive range of weapons and equipment with resources found during your exploration.
Event Horizon is an independent studio. Our aim is to create an engaging story-driven RPG, featuring a new class progression system along with exciting crafting and enchanting. The novel slow-time option in the real-time combat allows careful preparation and tactical awareness to be used to devastating effect.
The final version of the game will offer about 30 hours of gameplay. Early Access (8 hours of gameplay) is scheduled to start in 3-4 weeks. The full release is planned for 2-3 months after that, following refinements based on the feedback received.
